Our vision is for an inclusive & diverse Irish creative screen industry which supports sustainable careers for carers and parents. We envisage a creative screen industry that openly values and celebrates caregiving and parenthood, promoting equity of caring amongst genders and recognising caregiving as a vital aspect of a balanced life.
We want carers and parents to feel like they belong in our creative screen industries.
Purpose
Raising Films Ireland seeks to shift the culture within the Irish creative screen industries by creating a more diverse, inclusive, equitable and sustainable working environment for carers & parents.

Actor, Writer, Director, Mother. Working across film and theatre her whole career, Clare is passionate about making the arts more accessible to people with caring responsibilities.
Grace Odumosu
Grace Odumosu is an Irish/Nigerian solo parent, actor, and Producer working at Keeper Pictures. Grace holds a BA in acting from the Dublin Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from NUI Maynooth, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Producing from TU Dublin.

Mum of three. Lord David Puttnam scholar and screenwriter.

Chair of the Writers Guild of Ireland since 2020, and more recently was elected Chair of the International Affiliation of Writers Guilds.

Chair of WIFT Ireland, President of WIFT International, chair of the Equality Action Committee of the Writers Guild of Ireland, a board member the Irish Film Institute and Director of Catalyst International Film Festival.

Head of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs at Screen Ireland and the Irish Representative for European Film Promotion.

Higher Executive Officer at Screen Ireland. Mother and carer, passionate about making the Screen Sector inclusive and accessible to all. Programme Designer and Developer of competency frameworks for the sector.

Katie Killane
Administrator
Film/ TV lecturer/ Course Coordinator for the BA in Film & TV at CDCFE. Previously a TV Producer specialising in factual programming for the major UK & Irish Broadcasters. Returned, following a career break to parent via the Return to Work scheme run by RFI. Now working part time with RFI to support parents & carers in the Screen Industries.
